La prima cliente

Last two weeks I had a meeting with the first client (after a year absence from fashion designing) in Dunkin Donuts not so far from my house. I was really happy finally I had something to do that actually make money. Yeah, studying languages is really fun but it doesn't give me money (atleast for now). Oh well, so she wanted me to make a long black dress for a concert that will take place in few days. She is one of a singer in a choir. I gladly accepted her order.

I doubted myself. I wasn't sure if I was still good at designing or sewing. Do I still remember how to create flat pattern? Do I still remember how to sew with sewing machine? Or do I know the price of the fabrics these days? Sono complicata, è vero.

I took a big step to do everything all by myself. It was fun honestly. Working is equal to having fun for me, especially when I have to face deadlines LOL. This time I did the dress carefully. I've learnt so much from the past. I simply don't want to disappoint my clients anymore. There were times when I was like ARGHT! Making pattern OMG or Cutting fabric ARGHT! but well that's me. At least I don't complain to others but myself (don't hate me, bitches :* ). At the end I've finished the dress beautifully and just now the client went over to my house to get the dress. 

One thing that really satisfied me was the expression when she wore the dress. It's like OH YES! I can rest for a while now before tomorrow I need to start to make a dress for myself.

Oh! I will post the photo of the dress. I promise. I'm too lazy to move it from my phone.

My close-friends were having their birthday few weeks ago and we threw a party in her house. They 'asked' a gift from all the guests. From what they said to me, it was all just for fun. Yet when everyone showed up, they all brought very nice gifts. I didn't have anything honestly. Before that day I had planned to give something simple, maybe snacks or something else, but once I saw the gifts from others I was sure I need to give something more than...snacks.

After few days thinking, I decided to make a very personal necklace to one of them and a pair of earrings for the other. That's the least I could do honestly. (Oh I didn't have time to take photo of the earrings :( ) Few days ago we had lunch together and I gave them the gifts. They like the gifts I made. Sono veramente contenta =D

Three days without a proper internet connection! Yet, finally today I can get it back! 

Half Face

Life has never been easy. Я знаю! I've been trying for 2 years or so to go back to Europe, through scholarships, work etc. Yet, until now I'm still here. Stressful? Veramente sì! There are times when I think I'm about to give up, but I remember that I'm a proud-person. I'm too good to give up in this life. Then, few days ago I spent my time to think; think about what I can do to make my dreams come true or at least make my life a bit better. I decided to go back to what I'm good at: fashion designing.

So glad now I have a partner to brain-storm ideas. She encouraged me to start again taking orders from client and I met the first client (after few years absence) yesterday. I feel a lot better. I'm still good at it! I couldn't believe it! Also I feel better because I have her as my so-called 'assistant' to promote my works and get clients. Thus I solely handle the creative work; I love it. 

Since I decided to focus on my label ADY KRISTIA, I started to read again some e-books I have in my laptop. Work it out, bitch! Sono perfezionista. That's why I (re)studied the terms, the techniques and other important things of fashion design. It just feels good to get back on track.

Sto leggendo : Il Piccolo Principe #2

First of all, forgive me because i'm too lazy to write things down in Italian. These past few weeks I didn't really study anything at all (Italian, Russian, or Turkish). Ero pigrissima. Then finally two days ago I successfully told myself to continue reading the 'Il Piccolo Principe'. Oh well, it sounds like a book for kids. No, you're totally wrong. It is an amazing book for all age. Però mi viene mal di testa il passato remoto quando leggo il libro. Che uffa!

Today I've reached page 21 or 22 if I'm not mistaken. Last week I stopped when the main character encountered l'umetto which is il piccolo principe.  Now it becomes more interesting. The main character was asked to draw una pecora (a sheep) by Il piccolo principe (little prince). The discussion was intense. I just love how the writer described the situation and played the words in their conversation (main character with il piccolo principe). Che meraviglio!

Maybe after I finish this book, I would write the summary. MAYBE. Now? Nope thanks. Beside I'm lazy, I'm kinda occupied by my new 'thing'. The thing that makes me happy everyday :) Maybe one day I would like to write it down here.
