One more thing that makes me really happy: I'm able to sew elastic fabrics now! 

Not that I didn't know how to sew elastic fabric before, but the sewing machine I have just couldn't be used for elastic fabrics. That's what I was thinking until I googled some information about 'how to sew elastic-cotton' and found out one answer that I just need to buy a different sewing machine needle. I went to the store I used to go and the shopkeeper suggested me to use needle no.13 (Singer sewing machine). Honestly I bought it like a month ago or so but I didn't have a chance to try it until yesterday. Yep! Yesterday. 

I grabbed a small piece of elastic cotton and tried to sew it with my new needle. IT WORKS! I was really happy last night therefore I decided to quickly grab my pencil and pattern paper and started making a simple pattern for cardigan. Oh suddenly my lovely one called me and I just missed him :). I decided to cut the fabric the next day. This morning I cut the fabric and sew it. Voila! What do you think? 

Il vestito #3

It is stressful! I couldn't think about my upcoming collection while I still had an issue with that backless dress. One night I sat down and thought 'Ok, I will make a new one. Just make it simple and done!'

The problem was I only had 1.5mx1.5m for both satin and chiffon. I already used some for the backless dress (although not much). Then I checked whether there'd be enough or not to make a new dress. Oh well, it wasn't enough. Think think think... Oh, maybe I can just add black satin to it and see how it looks.

Briefly I made a new one in ONE DAY. Well, not that one day like I started Monday and finished it before Tuesday, but I finished it in less than 24 hours working time. I'm proud of myself :) Sono veramente contenta! Good thing that I realized that I hadn't done my best until then. Now I'm sure that I can finish my collection before New Year. #fingerscrossed

Il vestito #2

It's been days since the last time I wrote here. Sorry for that. I am simply excited for my new life, both work and love life. Well, yeah sono fidanzata :) con un uomo veramente bravo. I'm very happy for that. Sleepless night, wake up call, laughing together for no reason...just great. I guess I was longing for this for ages.

No no! It's not only because of that then I couldn't find time to write something in my blog. It is because I'm lazy; lazy enough to get off from sewing machine. Ja! It's the W-O-R-K. It drives me insane, in a good way of course. As you know it has become my passion since I was born and to do what you love and get money from it just feels amazing. It's stressful sometimes, I admit, but it's also rewarding. There are so many 'I hate this' moments but in the end it becomes 'I'm proud of myself', especially when the creation looks great.

I have an upcoming wedding ceremony to attend in few days. She was one of the dancer of the team that went to Spain and Portugal in summer 2 years ago (Oh yeah, I was one of the dancer also). Briefly, we (the other members) want to dress up in a same color for her wedding, so we decided to buy the same fabric.

It's blue satin and blue chiffon (not the best ones-you will notice when you start working on it). I thought that it would be great to make a very simple understated backless dress. 'Oh yes, simple and sexy! That's so me!'  Then I started to make the patterns , cut the fabrics and done!

I love it! It's my first time to make such dress and I nailed it! Then I decided to ask for some opinion to my friends and yeah....I forgot something crucial: the wedding ceremony will take place in the afternoon :| It is just too much, they said. Well, some of them just said 'It's okay...' but the more I think the more I agree that it is just too much for a day party.

What do I have to do?! I'm dead!
